The Challenge

When I first encountered the Air National Guard's website, it was nothing more than a static page. There was no Content Management System (CMS) to integrate news stories, social media, or other visual interactive content. There were less than 20 unique visitors per week, and no social media profiles.


The Solution

The solution was:

  • Found a compatible CMS which worked for the agency (AFPIMS)
  • Automated updates for new content distribution
  • Created platform for social bookmarking
  • Created link building
  • Established social presence on YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook
  • Integrated the CMS throughout 261 Air National Guard websites
  • Established website optimization platform for performance testing (A/B Testing)


Results

The migration impact results included:

  • Significantly increased recruiting traffic by creating an information channel that did not previously exist.
  • Increased website visitors by over 200%
  • Facilitated the new direct client relationship of over 1000 followers/friends/connections on Twitter and Facebook during the 1st week of migration
  • Created a platform that tripled submitted News stories, photographs, and video submissions
